Job summary

You will oversee grant writing, budgeting, and submission processes, coordinate with scientists and collaborators, manage reporting to agencies, and help turn innovative ideas into funded projects that accelerate biomedical advances.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or MS in Biological Sciences or related field.
• Proven successful grant writing experience at a university or in industry.
• Experience with NASA, DARPA, NIH, NSF, DOD, BARDA and other federal agencies.
• Demonstrated innovative thinking.
• Strong work ethic and ability to deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.
• Flexibility in work schedule.
• Self-motivated, independent, and a driving force of efficient execution.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs research to identify grants and other funding sources from both federal and private organizations.
• Oversee the grant writing, budgeting, team identification, collaborator identification and submission process, as well as follow up process until award.
• Management and supervision of the grants following submission including: Participation in internal technical update meetings and reviews
• Managing funding agency reports and updates
