Job summary

Qualifications

  • Required Education: Bachelor's degree
  • Preferred Education: Master's degree
  • Required Experience: 3 years' relevant experience in academic administration with experience in data collection and reporting, pre- and post-award grants management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Preferred Experience: Prior experience in an academic or research environment.
  • Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and written/verbal communication skills. Detail-oriented. Ability to multi-task and work under multiple deadlines. Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint), Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and ad-hoc reporting tools.
  • Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Experience with financial data systems.

Responsibilities

  • Administer sponsored research grants, contracts, gifts, and faculty startup funds.
  • Advise Principal Investigators on grant funds management and budget planning; interpret grant terms and revise budgets.
  • Prepare grant reporting and analyze data from internal and external sources to support the Dean for Science.
  • Manage administrative operations for the Office of the Dean for Science; plan events and supervise staff; coordinate outreach activities and social media campaigns.
