Job summary

The New World Symphony is seeking a Senior Accountant, Revenue and Grants to strengthen financial operations through grant accounting, revenue recognition, compliance monitoring, and reporting. This role collaborates on-site with teams to ensure grant requirements are met and financial reporting aligns with audits.

Responsibilities include processing grant budgets, revenue recognition for contributions and ticket sales, and preparing schedules for audits and statements.

Qualifications

• Experience with grant accounting and reporting requirements.
• Proficiency in revenue recognition for donations, ticket sales, and grants.
• Experience close to month-end reporting and financial statements.
• Familiarity with compliance and audit processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and improve grant accounting processes and reporting systems.
• Process and record revenue transactions from contributions, ticket sales and other sources.
• Prepare month-end and year-end reconciliations and financial statements.
• Support audit schedules and respond to auditor requests.
• Coordinate stipend payments and related accounting activities.
• Maintain records for audits and compliance reviews.
• Manage residential housing revenue invoicing and tenant ledgers.
