Job description

Description

About Belev Echad

Founded in 2009 as an annual tour through New York City to honor wounded IDF soldiers, Belev Echad has evolved into a globally recognized nonprofit dedicated to restoring the lives of these brave heroes. Through emotional, mental, medical, legal, and financial support, we provide life‑saving resources to wounded veterans—services they often can't access on their own.

These heroes fought for Israel. Now, we fight for them.

Our programs empower soldiers and their families to heal, reintegrate, and thrive. Whether it's mental health treatment, physical rehabilitation, or vocational reintegration, we walk alongside our soldiers every step of the way—ensuring they are supported, uplifted, and never alone.

Position Summary

Belev Echad is seeking a detail‑oriented, mission‑driven Grants & Reports Writer to join our Development team. This role is central to how we communicate our impact to foundation and institutional funders — turning program data and soldier stories from our US and Israel teams into compelling, accurate, and on‑time proposals and reports. This is an excellent opportunity for an early‑career development professional who wants hands‑on ownership of the grant lifecycle at a fast‑growing, mission‑driven organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Draft, edit, and submit grant proposals, letters of inquiry (LOIs), and funder reports for foundation and institutional donors.
  • Research and identify new foundation and institutional funding opportunities aligned with Belev Echad's mission and programs.
  • Maintain a master calendar of LOI, proposal, and report deadlines, and ensure nothing is submitted late.
  • Collaborate with program, finance, and Israel‑based staff to gather accurate outcomes data, budget figures, and soldier stories for use in reports and proposals.
  • Track funder relationships, submissions, and deliverables in Salesforce/Nova.
  • Translate program and financial data into clear, donor‑ready narrative and visuals.
  • Maintain consistency of Belev Echad's mission, voice, and storytelling across all funder‑facing communications.
Qualifications
  • Approximately 1 year of professional experience in grant writing, development, communications, or a related nonprofit role.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to turn program data into compelling narrative.
  • Experience with, or strong working knowledge of, US and/or Israel‑based nonprofits strongly preferred.
  • Comfortable collaborating with Israel‑based colleagues.
  • Highly organized, deadline‑driven, and comfortable managing multiple concurrent deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace; familiarity with Salesforce, Monday, or similar CRMs is a plus.
