Job summary

The Straz Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Tampa seeks a Director of Grants and Government Relations to secure public and private funding for annual operations, the Master Plan, and capital renewal projects. This role builds relationships with governmental entities and funders to advance Straz Center’s programs and capital needs.

Responsibilities include grant research, proposal development, compliance tracking, and reporting.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to identify and secure public and private grant funding.
• Experience managing complex grant programs and reports.
• Strong communication and narrative writing skills for proposals.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements a strategy to identify and secure grant funding for operations, Master Plan, and capital projects.
• Manages grant research, development, and reporting to meet funder requirements.
• Cultivates relationships with funders, government officials, and stakeholders.
