Grand Valley State University is seeking a grant accounting professional to manage day-to-day post-award activities for multiple grants and contracts. You will support the PI with financial statements, budget reviews, and compliance reporting to ensure grant requirements are met.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in accounting and at least 5 years of related experience in higher education, government, or not-for-profit settings.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or closely related field.
• Minimum 5 years experience overseeing sponsored awards, contracts, budgets, and financial reporting.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and oral communication.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.

Aufgaben

• Manage post-award accounting for several grants and contracts, including sub-recipient monitoring.
• Provide financial support to Principal Investigator through project statements, budget reviews and compliance responses.
• Assist with annual single audit, including lead for major programs.
• Manage receivables and Workday billing schedules; prepare related journal entries.
• Maintain reconciliation workpapers and provide ad hoc financial reports.
• Perform other duties as required by leadership.
