Job summary

The Coordinating Commission for Postsecondary Education in Lincoln, Nebraska is seeking a Project Specialist to provide activity coordination and grant management support for cooperative studies, projects, and evaluations related to Commission duties. This grant-funded role will help build partnerships across public and private entities and ensure compliance with funding requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and two years of experience related to the essential functions.
  • Master's degree preferred for advanced qualifications.
  • A valid Driver's Licence is required; occasional travel may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Under the direction of the Executive Director, establish and foster partnerships among state agencies, schools, contractors, and business partners to disseminate resources.
  • Coordinate stakeholder meetings and engagement activities with reporting follow-up.
  • Assist in preparing reports, including data collection and tables.
  • Support grant administration by logging documents and communicating with grant partners; maintain records.
  • Process payment and reimbursement requests related to project activities with complete documentation.
  • Maintain accurate financial records to report funds status and ensure data security.
  • Prepare program status and financial reports for partners and grant makers in line with funding requirements.
  • Assist with development of grant proposals and funding strategies.
