Job summary

The Safer Foundation, based in Chicago, seeks a Grants Manager to support the Fund Development Department. You will coordinate proposal development, budgets, donor communications, and external research to strengthen funding opportunities and program outcomes.

Reporting to the AVP Development and Communications, you will help prepare letters of inquiry, proposals, and reports, while ensuring data accuracy and timely submissions.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Fund Development Department with proposal writing.
• Knowledge of foundation and corporate giving and communications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in grant writing including LOIs, proposals, budgets and reports.
• Serve as liaison between the agency and funders.
• Collaborate with program and accounting staff for scope of work and budgets.
• Spearhead external research projects to improve submissions and programs.
• Monitor prospecting tools to identify funding opportunities and track KPIs.
• Maintain historical records in Salesforce and manage grant compliance.
