Job summary

Sunflower Foundation seeks a KFA Grants Manager to oversee grants for the Kansas Office of the Attorney General, ensuring compliance and efficient grant lifecycle management.

Reporting to the CFO, you will maintain Fluxx data, coordinate payments, and collaborate with program staff to improve grant processes. This role emphasizes data integrity, auditing readiness, and cross‑functional teamwork.

Qualifications

• An associate’s degree from an accredited college or university, in a related field, is required
• Two (2) or more years of related work experience
• Experience in philanthropy, foundation, or other non-profit grant management or grant administration preferred
• Database proficiency (Access, Excel, or a similar proprietary database product)
• Experience with Windows-based programs including the Microsoft Office package
• Demonstrated organization and time management skills
• Attention to detail and problem-solving, with demonstrated capacity to meet deadlines and commitment to customer service
• Proficient in written and oral communication skills
• Remaining open-minded and coachable with the ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently
• Unquestionable ethics and personal integrity

Responsibilities

• Promote data integrity and system functionality in Fluxx to support decision-making
• Improve grant forms, reports, templates, and applications across the lifecycle
• Create and maintain grant files meeting legal, auditing, and IRS requirements
• Set up and maintain systems for reporting, payments, and schedules
• Design and implement efficient grant workflow
• Organize training and tutorials on grantmaking practices for staff and stakeholders
• Manage the entire grant lifecycle including administration, reporting, and closures
• Coordinate monthly grant payments and align with policies and grantee needs
• Monitor grant data daily in Fluxx for accuracy and completeness
• Assist CFO with grant reports and evaluation data
