Company Description Gulfcoast Legal Services, Inc. (GLS) is a regional 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides free, comprehensive civil legal aid to clients in the Greater Tampa Bay area. GLS focuses on financial stability, housing, family/domestic violence, and immigration advocacy to support community members facing civil legal challenges. The organization places particular emphasis on serving older adults, families with school-age children, people experiencing homelessness, individuals re-entering society after incarceration, and LGBTQ+ community members. GLS works across Pinellas, Manatee, and Sarasota Counties, collaborating with local partners to advance equity and access to justice.

Role Description The Grants Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Hillsborough County, FL. This position is responsible for managing the full grants lifecycle, including prospect research, grant calendar maintenance, and coordination with program staff to identify funding needs and priorities. Day-to-day tasks include drafting and editing grant proposals, preparing budgets and supporting documentation, submitting applications, and ensuring compliance with funder requirements. The Grants Manager monitors reporting deadlines, compiles data and narratives for interim and final reports, and maintains accurate records in GLS’s grants management systems. The role also involves cultivating and maintaining relationships with funders, collaborating with finance and leadership teams on grant-funded projects, and contributing to organizational planning and sustainability efforts.

• Candidates should possess data collection, evaluation, and reporting skills, including compiling program metrics and outcomes into accurate and compelling grant reports.
• Candidates should possess strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail, editing, and the ability to present complex information in a concise, accessible manner.
• Candidates should possess relationship-building and collaboration skills, including working effectively with internal teams, community partners, and funders.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (such as nonprofit management, public administration, social sciences, communications, or related discipline), or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience managing grants in a nonprofit or legal services setting, preferably with government and foundation funders, is highly beneficial.
