Job summary

The Trade and Marketing Program analyzes industry needs and provides grants and technical assistance to improve market access for U.S. agricultural producers.

In this position you will develop and apply grant and assistance management policies, evaluate eligibility, and negotiate award terms related to costs, timelines, and oversight responsibilities. Responsibilities include designing policies, monitoring performance, reviewing applications for compliance with federal laws, processing awards,

Qualifications

• Specialized experience with Federal grant and financial assistance regulations.
• Experience in pre-award and post-award grant activities including reviews and reporting.
• Ability to communicate grant requirements and findings clearly in reports and briefings.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, and interpret grant/assistance management policies.
• Monitor recipient performance and ensure compliance with award terms.
• Review grant applications and assess compliance with laws and terms.
• Prepare, issue, and track grants and reporting.
• Conduct risk assessments and review grantee policies.
• Coordinate audit findings resolution with officials.
• Solicit applications or proposals for funding.
• Act as liaison between government and grant recipients to clarify requirements.
