Job summary

Wellspring Advisors seeks a Grants Management Associate for its Washington, DC office to support grantmaking across domestic and international programs. You will manage grant information in GivingData, assist with budgeting, and ensure compliance with funding rules under the Grants Manager guidance.

You will prepare docket materials, review applications for completeness, perform due diligence, and communicate requirements to applicants while maintaining confidentiality and justice-focused

Qualifications

• College degree or relevant nonprofit experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and database apps; grants systems preferred.
• Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and organization.
• Discretion handling confidential information.
• Passion for social and economic justice.
• Team player in a demanding environment.
• Experience in nonprofit/philanthropy preferred.
• Ability to work with domestic and international grantmaking.

Responsibilities

• Front line responsibility for grant information management in GivingData and intranet.
• Coordinate grant budgeting, deadlines, and entries in the database.
• Confirm legal status and appropriate grant structure before inviting applications.
• Invite applications and communicate requirements and deadlines.
• Receive, file and review grant applications for completeness and compliance.
• Conduct due diligence on applicants’ capacity.
• Prepare docket presentations and reports on grantmaking activity.
• Respond to inquiries from program staff, grantees, and partners.
• Train staff and grantees on technology or policy updates.
• Support strategic plan implementation and department improvements.
• Perform other duties as needed.
