Empire State Development seeks a Project Manager, Loans & Grants in New York to oversee a portfolio of 80-100 active grants and loans from offer through funding disbursement. The role requires in-office presence, with hybrid options depending on duties.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor's degree and 3–5 years in economic development or related fields, with strong Excel/Word and project management skills. Excellent communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, liberal arts/sciences, public administration, urban planning, or similar.
• Or an associate’s degree with an additional 2 years of direct/relevant experience.
• Relevant experience in economic development, government, planning, public administration, or not-for-profit.

Responsabilités

• Manage portfolio of 80-100 active grants and loans through review and funding processes.
• Communicate with applicants via telephone, email, and paper correspondence.
• Ensure project data accuracy in the web-based Project Tracking System.
• Coordinate with Origination, Finance, Design and Construction, Legal for review materials.
• Review disbursement requests, perform desk audits, oversee loan closings with project attorneys.
• Perform other departmental tasks as assigned by VP/Dept Head.
