Job summary

Tri-Cities Chaplaincy in Richland, WA is seeking a Philanthropy Specialist to grow fundraising through grants, sponsorships, and donor relations. Work under the Philanthropy Supervisor to manage research, proposals, reporting, and donor acknowledgment.

You will build partnerships with foundations, corporations, and community leaders, coordinate events, maintain CRM data, and ensure compliance with gift policies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, business, communications, public relations, or related field.
  • Minimum two years of nonprofit fundraising, development, or grant coordination experience.
  • Minimum one year of grant applications, sponsorship proposals, or funding requests experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication; ability to prepare proposals, reports, and donor communications.
  • Excellent computer skills; Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint; databases.
  • Strong organizational skills; manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Ability to collaborate with internal departments and external partners; professional demeanor.
  • Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; driving as an essential function.

Responsibilities

  • Gathers data, assesses leads, and develops engagement strategies for prospects.
  • Maintains contact with identified organizations and donors.
  • Facilitates proposals and ensures stewardship of grant awards.
  • Designs recognition strategies for corporate giving partners.
  • Develops and implements donor engagement plans; coordinates solicitations and presentations.
