Job summary

The Wolf River Conservancy seeks a Grants Manager to oversee the grant program from prospecting to closeout. This full-time role coordinates across departments to ensure timely submissions, accurate reporting, and alignment with organizational priorities.

Reporting to the Chief Development Officer, this position manages calendars, budgets, and dashboards while cultivating strong relationships with funders to support watershed conservation efforts in a dynamic nonprofit setting.

Qualifications

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships across departments and with funders.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of independent initiative.
  • Experience with grant management, donor stewardship, and nonprofit practices preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and grant-management software.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the central point of coordination for the organization’s grant portfolio.
  • Manage the grant calendar, submission schedule, reporting deadlines, renewal dates, and closeout requirements.
  • Coordinate the full grant lifecycle: prospect qualification, applications, review, awards, reporting, renewals, and closeout.
  • Facilitate grant kickoff meetings covering budgets, deliverables, and internal responsibilities.
  • Produce monthly grant revenue, pipeline, and compliance reports for leadership.
  • Develop and improve grant-management workflows and internal controls.
