Job summary

The Lower Eastside Girls Club of New York is seeking a Development Associate to provide essential administrative and operational support to the Development and Finance teams. This role helps maintain accurate records in Salesforce, supports grant compliance, and assists with grant proposals and donor acknowledgments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; 1-2 years of nonprofit development or grants experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with government grants administration and CRM/databases is a plus.
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM software is desirable; exposure to Fundraising platforms a plus.
  • Clear written communication and ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate donor acknowledgments for various donation types and maintain templates.
  • Track funder communications in Salesforce and support follow-up after submissions.
  • Enter grants and donations; run reports to monitor fundraising activity.
  • Coordinate foundation, corporate, and government grant proposals and reports.
  • Support grant compliance and portal data entry for government grants and contracts.
  • Assist with drafting and editing program reports and narratives; maintain boilerplate copy.
