The Department of Corrections, Office of the Secretary, Reentry Unit in Madison, Wisconsin is seeking a Grants Coordinator to lead grant funding efforts and develop proposals aligned with agency goals. The role requires coordinating with experts, directing pre-award activities, and guiding reporting and close-out processes across divisions.
Salary starts at $58,718 to $96,907 per year with excellent benefits; position allows remote work up to 3 days per week.

The Office of the Secretary, Reentry Unit is recruiting to fill a Grants Coordinator (Program & Policy Analyst Advanced) position. This position is based out of the DOC central office in Madison, WI.
This position is responsible for overseeing the Department’s efforts to obtain grant funding by the identification and development of viable proposals for external funding of programs which align with identified goals, priorities, and strategic initiatives. This position has primary responsibility for authoring Department proposals for funding in coordination with subject matter experts and will direct all processes associated with the development of proposals for funding. This position has responsibility for assessing programmatic needs, identifying funding sources, directing pre-award activities, providing technical assistance to Department staff, coordinating award acceptance processes, and coordinating reporting and close-out procedures, among others. Should a grant be awarded to the Department, this position will provide direction with the identified Grant Administrator on tracking grant activities and periodic status updates.
This position will provide cross-divisional guidance and direction on processes to obtain grant funding for the Department. This includes development of workgroups, leading cross-divisional teams, assigning activities and tasks, internal and external communication, tracking of progress and activities, and providing regular updates to Department leadership.
This position is in pay schedule and range 07-03 with a starting pay of $58718 - $96907 per year, plus excellent benefits . Pay will be set in accordance with the Compensation Plan and Wisconsin Administrative Code in effect at the time of hire. A 12-month probationary period is required.
