Job summary

The Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS) in Hartford is seeking a Grants And Contracts Specialist to oversee grant management and contract development for the Office of the Commissioner. The role focuses on developing proposals, monitoring funded programs and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Under supervision initially, the specialist expands autonomy with experience and collaborates with program teams to support effective service delivery and data

Qualifications

• Seven years of experience in planning, implementation and/or management of grant programs.
• Substitutions allowed: college hours or master's degree as described.
• Experience interpreting statutes, regulations, policies at state or federal level.

Responsibilities

• Performs specialized duties in grants management and related activities.
• Develops goals, objectives, evaluation standards and timetables.
• Prepares grant proposals and monitors grant expenditures.
• Provides technical assistance to grantees and coordinates reporting.
