The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley is seeking a Graduate Research Assistant in Grants & Contracts to support accounting tasks in the department. The role involves reconciliation work, drafting financial statements, and generating accounting reports, with opportunities to assist staff on special projects.

Ideal candidates are full-time graduate students pursuing an MS in Accounting or an MBA, with strong analytical and Excel skills, and a solid accounting background.

Qualifications

• Currently admitted to the Graduate School.
• Be in good academic standing.
• Be registered full-time for the respective semester (nine semester credit hours during the fall/spring, six during the summer session).

Responsabilités

• Assisting with accounting related tasks in the Grants & Contracts office, such as project reconciliations, drafting financial statements, downloading accounting data reports, providing support to staff.
• Other duties and special projects as assigned.
