Job summary

FloridaCommerce’s Division of Economic Development seeks a Government Operations Consultant III to support the Job Growth Grant Fund initiative in Tallahassee. You will help evaluate applications, perform financial and legal due diligence, and assist in project approvals to drive economic growth.

The role requires strong analytical abilities, excellent communication, and experience with contracts and workforce-related initiatives.

Qualifications

Experience in management of public infrastructure and workforce contracts.
Strong quantitative and analytical skills; proficient with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Knowledge of contracts, agreements, and financial, business, and legal due diligence.
Excellent written and verbal communication with strong presentation abilities.
Team-oriented with ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and build relationships.
Preference given to applicants with program management or contracting experience.

Responsibilities

Support implementation, administration, and oversight of Florida's Job Growth Grant Fund.
Evaluate economic development applications and perform due diligence.
Conduct financial and legal due diligence for grant-related projects.
Manage project approvals and track milestones.
Coordinate with state partners to facilitate business decisions and growth initiatives.
