Job summary

The University of New Hampshire is seeking a Grant and Contract Administrator I (GCA I) within STAR Team I to provide post-award research administration support for a portfolio of sponsored programs. You will collaborate with PIs, departments, SPA Awards, AFC, and other partners to manage expenditures, payroll, and commitments, monitor awards, and assist with closeout activities.

Qualifications

Associate's degree and three years of related experience or equivalent combination of higher education and experience totaling seven years.
Experience in college or university business office.
Additional related experience and/or higher education.

Responsibilities

Pre-award administration of grant and/or contract activities.
Synthesize sponsor guidelines to identify proposal requirements and provide checklists/templates.
Organize proposal, renewal and resubmission applications.
Create, route and monitor proposal forms.
Handle communication with PI on sponsor/university information needs.
Complete entire application for smaller, less complex proposals.
Post-award administration of research grants and/or contracts (labor distributions, time and effort, purchases and reimbursements).
Monitor routine financial transactions and resolve discrepancies.
Prepare cost transfer forms to correct charges on sponsored projects.
Assist in preparing audit documentation and account close-out activities.
