Job summary

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking an Accountant 1 to manage financial activities across multiple Centers within the School of Medicine Finance and Research Service Center. You will handle grants, contracts, trusts, gifts, overhead and state funds, guiding Principal Investigators and Directors in budgeting and reporting.

Entry-level with a Masters or a Bachelors with 0-2 years of experience is required.

Qualifications

• Entry-level with Masters; or Bachelors and 0-2 yrs experience.
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
• Ability to independently prepare, disseminate and interpret financial reports.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor financial activities across Centers and Core Facilities.
• Assist in budget planning, financial reporting and billings for PIs/Directors.
• Ensure compliance with funding sources and provide financial guidance.
