Job summary

Community Renewal Team, Inc. is seeking an experienced Financial Analyst in Hartford, CT. The role focuses on financial monitoring, budgeting for grants, and monthly revenue recognition entries, supporting annual budget processes for programs.

The analyst collaborates with Program Managers to ensure grants stay on track and reporting is accurate. The position requires an Associate degree in a related field (Bachelor preferred) and at least two years of experience, with strong MS Excel and Word

Qualifications

Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business Administration required.
Bachelor degree preferred.
Minimum of two (2) years of related experience.
Demonstrated skills in MS Office, especially Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

Provide financial projections, budget variance explanations, and forecasting to Program Managers.
Verify budgeted expenses monthly and summarize results with Program Managers.
Ensure proper billing with monthly closing and funds collection.
Prepare journal entries and reconcile general ledger and subsidiary accounts.
