Job summary

The Connecticut Department of Children and Families seeks a Grants and Contracts Specialist to provide professional fiscal and administrative support for grant programs. Based in Bridgeport or Norwalk, this hybrid role involves planning, implementing, and managing grants while guiding staff in fund usage and service delivery.

You will collaborate with social workers to assemble comprehensive care plans, monitor program outcomes, and ensure alignment with state and federal requirements.

Qualifications

• Seven years of experience in planning, implementation, and/or management of grant programs at community, state, or federal level.
• Knowledge of grant preparation, administration, program evaluation, and monitoring functions.
• Considerable interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Ability to utilize computer software and manage budgets.
• Experience working in a social and human services agency (preferred).
• Experience with Microsoft Excel and financial management systems (preferred).
