Albany State University seeks a Grants and Budget Analyst to manage financial oversight for Title III programs. This role involves developing budgets, monitoring expenditures, and ensuring compliance with regulations. LocationOur West Campus is located at 2400 Gillionville Road, Albany, GA 31707. Our East Campus is located at 504 College Drive, Albany, GA 31705. The Human Resources office for both campuses is located on the West Campus in Building K, Suite 111.
Job SummaryThe Grants and Budget Analyst provides comprehensive financial management for all Title III funded programs. Reporting directly to the Associate Vice President for Institutional Research, Effectiveness and Title III, this role ensures compliance with university, state, and federal regulations by overseeing budget development, financial reporting, and expenditure monitoring. The analyst works closely with Activity Directors and university departments to support program success through sound fiscal practices
Sponsorship is not available for this position.
This limited term position is funded through Title III sponsored funds. Continuation of employment is based upon availability of funds.
ResponsibilitiesBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
1 to 2 years of experience in budget management, grants administration, or financial analysis or an equivalent combination of education.
Preferred QualificationsMinimum of 2-5 years of experience in budget management, grants administration, or financial analysis.
Demonstrated experience with compliance monitoring and preparation of financial reports for federally funded programs.
Proposed SalarySalary range is from $50,769 to $75,000.

Knowledge, Skills, & AbilitiesThorough understanding of budgeting, financial analysis, and grant administration.
Strong knowledge of federal regulations governing Title III and higher education grant programs.
Proficiency in financial systems and software, including accounting platforms and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
High-level organizational and project coordination skills.
Ability to prepare and present clear and accurate financial reports.
Work independently and collaboratively across multiple departments.
Interpret and apply complex financial regulations.
Manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
Develop and maintain effective financial tracking and reporting systems.
