Job summary

Medical College of Wisconsin is seeking a Grants Analyst I to support the Grants and Contracts Office. You will assist investigators with submitting competitive funding proposals, negotiating terms, and ensuring compliance with federal regulations.

Responsibilities include pre-award activities, reviewing subcontract requests, advising on sponsor requirements, and collaborating with MCW teams to streamline processes.

Qualifications

• Pre-award research support is a detailed process requiring organization and follow-through.
• NIH and OMB regulations knowledge is essential and must be interpreted for compliance.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential.
• Strong customer service and teamwork help manage sponsor relationships and internal staff.

Responsibilities

• Serve as GCO point of contact for a defined book of business, including basic science and clinical departments.
• Interpret and communicate institutional policies and sponsor requirements for compliance.
• Review grant applications and prepare submissions to sponsors on behalf of MCW.
• Act as MCW business office liaison with sponsoring agencies.
• Perform pre-award and non-financial post-award activities for various grants and contracts.
• Assist in NIH Just-in-Time materials and eBridge submission processes.
• Review and approve incoming subcontracts or pass-through awards.
• Negotiate terms of grant and contract awards on behalf of the institution.
• Collaborate with other GCO analysts and MCW stakeholders on team projects.
