Job summary

Indiana Department Of Environmental Management (IDEM) is seeking a Grants Analyst to manage the financial administration of state and federal grants across IDEM programs.

You will support all phases of the grant life cycle, including application, project setup, administration, reporting, financial reconciliation, billing, and closeout, serving as a liaison between program staff, finance leadership, and agencies.

Qualifications

• Broad knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles, including GAAP.
• Extensive knowledge of state and federal social service program accounting, budgeting, and applicable laws, policies and procedures.
• Broad knowledge and ability to use automated financial and accounting reporting system, PeopleSoft Financials.
• Extensive knowledge of the agency mission, programs, and administrative policies.
• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and reconcile state and federal funding within assigned divisions using the Agency’s Accounting system.
• Monitor and analyze personnel costs through statistical methods.
• Prepare and manage annual and biennial budgets.
• Recommend changes to budgeting policies and workflows for efficient use of funds.
• Prepare and process Federal Reimbursements (draws) for assigned grants.
