Job summary

Portland State University seeks a Grants & Agreements Manager to oversee SPA's Award Acceptance function. You will review, negotiate, and accept sponsored research contracts and related agreements, ensuring compliance and risk management.

You will supervise a team of specialists, develop negotiation strategies, and collaborate with legal counsel and campus partners to improve processes and service delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and four or more years of progressively responsible experience directly reviewing, redlining, and negotiating complex contracts.
• A master’s degree may substitute for part of the experience, but some contract review and staff supervisory experience are required.

Responsibilities

• Review, redline, and negotiate complex contracts and agreements.
• Supervise and manage staff reviewing and accepting sponsored awards and agreements.
• Provide technical guidance on contract interpretation and negotiation strategies.
