The Agreements Specialist utilizes specialized skills to exercise discretion and independent judgment for the acceptance of sponsored project agreements at PSU, which holds a diverse and complex portfolio of sponsored projects funded by our federal, state/local government, private industry, non-profit, and international sponsors. The Agreements Specialist is responsible for reviewing, negotiating, and accepting agreements that govern the sponsored projects at PSU, including master agreements, non-disclosure agreements, data use agreements and others. The Agreements Specialist is also responsible for the drafting, issuance and execution of subaward and subcontract agreements related to PSU’s sponsored projects.

This position requires a BA/BS with 3+ years of related experience. The minimum starting annual salary for this position is $64,584, but may be negotiated above this amount, depending upon years of related experience, applicable skills, knowledge and abilities, market parity, and internal equity.

An ideal candidate would have direct experience serving in a Contracts Specialist, Contracts Officer, or similar position having responsibility for reviewing and negotiating federal, state, or industry contracts at an institution of higher education.
