Portland State University seeks a Grants & Agreements Manager to lead review, negotiation, and acceptance of sponsored research contracts. You will supervise a team of specialists, develop negotiation strategies, and ensure compliance with sponsor requirements and university policy.

Based in Portland, OR with some remote work options, you will serve as AOR and signing official, driving efficiency and risk management across the SPA portfolio.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of progressively responsible experience directly reviewing, redlining, and negotiating complex contracts and agreements.
• Experience supervising and managing staff, including assigning and prioritizing work, evaluating performance, and coaching.
• Ability to interpret and apply laws, regulations, and organizational policies relevant to contract review, negotiation, and acceptance.
• Experience reviewing, redlining, negotiating, and accepting sponsored research contracts and related agreements.
• Experience developing or improving contract templates, negotiation guidance, or clause libraries.

Responsabilidades

• Provide technical leadership for review, redlining, negotiation, acceptance, and documentation of sponsored research contracts and related agreements.
• Supervise a team of Grants & Agreements Specialists responsible for reviewing and accepting sponsored awards and drafting subaward agreements.
• Develop negotiation strategies, assess risk, and ensure compliance with sponsor requirements and university policy.
• Serve as Authorized Organizational Representative and Institutional Signing Official for sponsored projects.
• Collaborate with SPA leadership, legal counsel, and campus partners to improve review processes and tools.
