Job summary

The Grants Administrator at Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) will oversee research awards/projects in the Department of Pediatrics, handling pre- and post-award grantsmanship, budgeting, financial management, reporting and invoicing. The role supports compliance with sponsors and internal policies in a busy research office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and three years business, personnel, grant-in-aid or public administration experience.

Responsibilities

• Grant Review: review proposals and contracts to ensure compliance and alignment with sponsor requirements.
• Analyze CTAs and translate payment terms for sponsor invoicing and study tracking.
• Manage post-award activities including no-cost extensions, resubmissions and budget updates.
• Monitor expenditures and ensure alignment with grant guidelines and sponsor rules.
• Oversee procurement, reimbursements, subawards and other post-award processes.
