The Department of Criminal Justice Services is seeking a collaborative and innovative team player to serve as a part-time (wage) Grants Administrative Coordinator in Richmond, Virginia. This position supports the Byrne Justice Assistance Grant Administrator. Public service offers the opportunity to do important rewarding work while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. What you will do:

Provides comprehensive administrative operations and coordination support to the Byrne JAG Administrator to ensure the effective, organized, and compliant administration of the Byrne JAG grant portfolio. This position is responsible for administrative coordination and supports information management, grant lifecycle tracking, reporting, documentation, and ongoing grant administration functions.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience in administrative coordination, preferably in grants or public administration
  • Strong writing, editing, and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and coordination abilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and document management systems
  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment

  • Familiarity with federal grant regulations and documentation standards
