Job summary

UMMC is seeking a Manager - Accounting at Central Billing Office-Clinton to lead the accounting operations, hire and mentor staff, and improve record keeping systems. The role focuses on grant or contract administration, payroll, accounts payable, and general ledger management.

The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree and 3 years of accounting experience; CPA or advanced degree is preferred. This is a full-time, day shift role with exposure to office environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and three (3) years' accounting experience.
• CPA, advanced degree or certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages the accounting operations of an assigned area or unit.
• Hires, trains, mentors, and evaluates the performance of employees.
• Develops, implements, modifies, and documents record keeping and accounting systems.
• Assists in the selection, design, testing, and implementation of accounting software applications and systems.
• Prepares, examines, and analyzes accounting records and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
• Coordinates with internal and external customers to answer questions, convey information, and resolve accounting issues.
