Job summary

Hampton Roads Transit is seeking a Grants Accounting Supervisor to lead the grant accounting function within our Finance team in Virginia. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Admin or related field.
Three years of experience in all aspects of accounting.
MBA preferred; strong analytical and written/oral communication skills.
Proficiency with MS Office and D365 accounting modules.

Responsibilities

Supervise grant staff responsible for project expenditure tracking and reporting.
Prepare and approve reimbursement requests to external funding partners.
Ensure general ledger data for grants and related assets is accurate and reconciled.
Monitor grant budgets to ensure expenditures stay within award scope.
Support monthly closings, audits, and financial reporting.
