Zusammenfassung

Phoenix House is seeking a Grant Accountant to join the Finance Department in a full-time capacity. The role provides technical grants accounting, budgeting, and administrative support to program managers under the Controller's direction.

Responsibilities include monitoring and maintaining financial transactions for grants across federal, state, and local programs, tracking revenues and expenditures, and preparing internal and external financial reports as specified for grants.

Qualifikationen

• Four years of progressive accounting experience, with at least two in grant accounting.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field.
• Knowledge of US GAAP and government nonprofit accounting.
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
• Experience with OMB Circular A133 and grant reporting.
• Strong analytical, research, and communication skills.

Aufgaben

• Provide advanced grants accounting support for program managers and department programs.
• Monitor and maintain financial transactions and accounting for programs funded by Federal, state and local grants.
• Track revenues and expenditures by funding source; reconcile grant statements to the general ledger by fund.
• Review data, identify errors, and propose corrective actions.
• Provide accounting information and assistance to program managers; liaise with funding agencies for compliance.
• Prepare financial reports for Federal, state, and local agencies and grant close-outs.
• Prepare financial projections for RFPs and grant applications.
• Bill on contract awards and prepare billing documents; track due dates for grantor agencies.
