Job summary

The Texas A&M University System Offices is seeking a Grant Administrator II to provide expert writing, editing, and proposal development support for faculty and research teams across TAMUS institutions. The role aims to improve proposal quality, competitiveness, and funding success rates.

As part of the Research Development Office, you will draft proposals, coordinate timelines, and deliver trainings to strengthen grantsmanship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Five years of grant writing, scientific editing, or research communications experience.

Responsibilities

• Draft, edit, and refine proposal narratives for federal, foundation, and industry sponsors.
• Collaborate with faculty to articulate compelling research impact, innovation, and broader impacts.
• Review proposals for compliance with sponsor guidelines and evaluation criteria.
• Develop boilerplate content, institutional descriptions, and shared proposal resources.
• Coordinate proposal timelines and writing schedules.
• Provide writing workshops and grantsmanship training.
• Support development of white papers, concept papers, and strategic research communications.
• Maintain quality assurance processes for major proposal submissions.
• Other duties as assigned.
