Job summary

La Familia is seeking a skilled Institutional Giving Specialist I to pursue government funding opportunities and craft compelling grant narratives. You will lead proposals from research through submission, while coordinating with Finance and staff for accurate inputs.

Ideal candidates bring strong writing, research, and project-management abilities, with comfort translating complex program information into persuasive proposals for public funders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field; experience may be considered in lieu of education.
• Minimum 2 years of grant writing experience preferred, particularly government RFP/NOFO responses.
• Strong writing, editing, and synthesis skills with ability to produce polished narratives under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Source new government RFPs, NOFOs, and public funding opportunities; identify funder prospects.
• Lead and manage government proposals from analysis to submission; develop evidence-based narratives.
• Manage grant portfolios, track deadlines, and coordinate with internal owners to ensure compliance.
