Job summary

Arts for Learning Maryland is seeking a Grant Writer to join the Development Team. You will craft compelling proposals, gather data from across departments, and ensure timely submissions to foundation, corporate, and government funders.

You’ll cultivate relationships with funders, track deadlines, and support reporting. The role reports to the Development Director and may involve external consultants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in English, nonprofit mgmt, arts, education, or related field.
• Proven ability to write compelling proposals for diverse audiences.
• Experience collaborating across departments to gather information.

Responsibilities

• Write, edit, and submit proposals, LOIs, and reports for funders.
• Coordinate with staff to gather budget, data, and narrative elements.
• Engage funders through calls, meetings, and site visits when appropriate.
• Research new foundation, corporate, and government funding opportunities.
• Maintain grant records and calendars to ensure timely submissions.
