Job summary

Kids In Crisis in Connecticut seeks a Grant Writer to secure and renew funding for agency programs. You will research opportunities, write proposals, prepare reports, and manage the grants calendar, working with Development leadership to gather data and budgets.

You will collaborate with program staff and finance to ensure proposals align with priorities, and you will serve as a writing resource across the team to support donors and prospects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Nonprofit Management, or related field.
• Three or more years of grant writing experience in nonprofit settings.
• Proven success securing foundation, corporate, or government grants.
• Strong writing and editing with ability to explain programs and results clearly to funders.
• Comfort working with budgets, program data, and outcome measures.
• Experience with donor CRMs and grant research tools.

Responsibilities

• Draft and submit clear, persuasive proposals and applications for a range of funders.
• Prepare and submit accurate grant reports on time.
• Research and identify new funding prospects to maintain a strong pipeline.
• Build and maintain relationships with program officers and funders.
• Collaborate with Finance and program staff to gather data and budgets for proposals.
• Manage grants calendar and coordinate with Development leadership.
