Job summary

Via Care Community Health Center is seeking a Development Associate to support fundraising, marketing and outreach, and administrative tasks. The role requires strong writing and organizational skills, with opportunities for creative input within a small team including the Chief Development Officer.

The position emphasizes grant proposals, donor communications, event coordination, and social media content creation, with a focus on serving low-income communities in East L.A.

Qualifications

• B.A. required.
• Master of Public Health or equivalent degree preferred.
• Two years non-profit administrative experience preferred.
• Fluency in Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Write grant proposals and reports.
• Research funding sources, including government and private foundation grants.
• Manage grant database and calendar of submission and report deadlines.
• Write and send acknowledgement of grants to donor agencies.
• Coordinate and promote the monthly foodbank.
• Coordinate annual National Health Center Week events every August.
• Create and track fundraising events.
