Job summary

The Financial Analyst at the Rosenstiel School of Marine, Atmospheric, and Earth Science at the University of Miami will support financial operations for grant activities from proposals to closeout, ensuring compliance with university and federal policies. Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit comprehensive financial reports for grants and awards.
• Maintain salary projection spreadsheets for faculty, staff and students.
• Process amendments, budget continuations, no-cost extensions and funding requests.
• Distribute account summaries and implement corrective measures with justification and docs.
• Approve and monitor expense transactions per budgets and regulations.
• Track award end dates and notify investigators about burn rates and extensions.
• Review salary transactions, reimbursements, purchases, and outside services.
• Perform account reconciliations in Workday for assigned accounts.
