The University of Rhode Island seeks a Scientific Research Grant Assistant to support a Principal Investigator on grant-funded projects. You will monitor and allocate awarded funds, forecast future financial needs, and provide high-level clerical support for proposals, reports and papers.

You will develop and modify office automation aids, prepare graphics, manage data files, and help maintain budgets and records throughout the research cycle.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of operating office systems and software for creating, editing and storing scientific documents and awarded funds.
• Ability to predict future financial requirements and assist with budget preparation.
• Experience with general office practices, arithmetic and business English.

Responsabilités

• Assist Principal Investigator with grant-funded research and monitor/allocate funds.
• Prepare graphics, organize data and determine formats for data.
• Maintain records and assist with budget development and control.
