Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in public administration, finance, accounting, business administration, or related field.
• Two years of experience in grants administration, public finance, or related work.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience, supported by resume and application submitted.

Responsibilities

• Manage all pre-award grant activities, including researching funding opportunities, designing project scopes, writing proposals, and submitting grant applications.
• Collaborate with department heads and staff to assess potential funding opportunities.
• Identify grant opportunities aligned with organizational priorities and monitor announcements, deadlines, and eligibility requirements.
• Maintain a calendar of grant opportunities and support preparation, review, and submission of applications.
• Ensure required approvals are obtained prior to submission and support audits and monitoring visits.
• Maintain grant files and supporting documentation; monitor grant-funded projects and budgets for compliance.
• Prepare reports, correspondence, and presentations for departments and Town Council as needed.
• Interpret laws and regulations pertaining to Federal, State, Local, and external partner compliance requirements.
• Serve as a liaison between funding agencies, internal departments, and external partners.
• Provide guidance and training to staff on grant requirements and best practices.
• Assist in developing and updating grant policies, procedures, and internal controls.
