Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a gospel-centered Grant and Proposal Writer to join our Development team and grow institutional support. This role focuses on researching funding opportunities and developing compelling grant applications, proposals, letters of inquiry, reports and donor materials.

The Grant and Proposal Writer will translate priorities, outcomes and budgets into persuasive requests, build a scalable grants process and maintain a robust pipeline with deadlines and commitments.

Qualifications

• Experience in grant writing, nonprofit development, fundraising or related field.
• Proven ability to translate program outcomes into compelling funding requests.
• Strong editing and storytelling skills for donor-facing materials.

Responsibilities

• Research foundations, corporations and funders aligned with LifeWise mission.
• Write and coordinate LOIs, grant applications, proposals and reports.
• Develop tailored proposals and supporting materials for major opportunities.
• Gather program outcomes, budgets and impact stories for proposals.
• Manage grants calendar, deadlines, renewals and funder follow-ups.
• Maintain records of funders, applications, awards and communications.
• Create reusable proposal language and resources to improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with Leadership to expand funding opportunities.
• Support stewardship and cultivation of foundation and corporate partners.
• Assist with other development writing and campaigns as needed.
• Communicate clearly and persuasively; manage multiple projects concurrently.
