Job summary

The Women's Empowerment Series, Inc is seeking an experienced Grant Writer to secure funding for programs empowering women and girls. You will research grant-makers, draft proposals, LOIs, and impact reports, and help align our mission with funder priorities.

In this role, you will manage deadlines, maintain a grant calendar, and participate in donor visits to share mission moments. Strong independence, detail, and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a grant writer with successful submissions.
• Experience in writing to federal and state entities.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

We are in need of an experienced Grant Writer to secure our non-profit with funding to support our women and girls programs.

Responsibilities:

• Research prospective local & regional grant-makers, including charitable giving history, and grant guidelines.
• Draft grant proposals, LOIs and additional materials.
• Writing proposals and impact reports,
• Help brainstorm creative and strategic ways to connect our mission to a foundation's priorities.
• Create and maintain a grant calendar to track proposals and report deadlines.
• Attend donor visits where appropriate to share mission moments.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a grant writer, with a track record of successful grant submissions.
• Experience in writing to both federal and state entities
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to effectively maintain the security of sensitive and confidential information.
