Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in public administration, nonprofit management, or related field or equivalent professional experience.
• 7+ years of progressively responsible experience in college student development, program management, and nonprofit leadership.
• Demonstrated experience managing grant programs, including compliance, budgeting, and reporting.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing reports for funders or boards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine the strategic vision, goals, and funding priorities for the grant initiative.
• Stay current with trends, best practices, and policy developments to inform program strategy.
• Represent the initiative publicly at conferences, convenings, and partner meetings.
• Ensure compliance with funder requirements, regulations, and internal policies, including documentation.
• Manage the initiative's annual budget, tracking expenditure and forecasting needs.
• Serve as primary contact for grantees, providing guidance and technical assistance.
• Foster a culture of trust, transparency, and partnership with funded organizations.
• Monitor grantee progress through reports and regular check-ins.
• Prepare timely, accurate reports for funders, the board, and stakeholders.
• Use data and feedback to drive continuous improvement, collaborating with finance, communications, and development teams.
