The University of Kentucky’s Collaborative Grant Services (CGS) department is seeking a dedicated and skilled Team Lead/Grant Services (Post-Award Supervisor). This vital role supports and enables groundbreaking research across the University.
About the Role:
With employees in the department currently working across the U.S. and from both coasts, this is a great remote work opportunity. For those near Lexington, KY, hybrid work may also be available.
The Post-Award Supervisor will support the Post Award Manager and Post Award Assistant Director. They will provide daily oversight and supervision of a post-award team of four-six members within CGS. This individual must demonstrate an expert level of understanding of sponsored project post-award processes and associated university and sponsor policies. They will serve as first point of contact for compliance review for CGS post-award sponsored research activity and will perform a monthly review of all sponsored awards within an assigned complex award portfolio and provides support to a CGS post-award team to ensure all charges are allowable, allocable and reasonable (i.e. adhere to all sponsor and UK requirements as well as GAAP).
This individual will serve as a subject matter expert in grant management processes and a resource/advisor for post-award team members for CGS processes and procedures. This includes developing and conducting training programs for team members on internal and external policies and procedures specific to sponsored projects.
Shift Schedule
Monday – Friday, 8:00 am EST – 5:00 pm EST; additional hours especially during peak deadline times.
Can be fully remote or hybrid if near Lexington, KY.
Required Education / Experience
Master's degree and five (5) years of experience OR equivalent (below)

Skills and Preferred Education / Experience
Skills in: Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
Working knowledge of federal grant and academic institution sponsored research regulations is preferred.
Knowledge of NIH eRA Commons is preferred.
Knowledge of SAP is preferred.
Certified Research Administrator (CRA) is preferred.
