Job summary

Caltech IPAC is seeking a full-time Grant Manager to join our finance team in Pasadena, CA. The role focuses on pre-award, post-award, and close-out activities, coordinating proposals to NASA, JPL, NSF, and others, and ensuring compliance with institute policies.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of grant management experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work on-site. Remote workdays are not the regular arrangement, but some flexibility may be considered after training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business/Finance/Accounting or related field.
• 3+ years of grant management experience.
• Ability to work on-site in Pasadena, CA.
• Proficiency in Excel.

Responsibilities

• Administer grants, subawards, contracts, and service agreements in a timely manner.
• Develop budgets with Principal Investigators and coordinate proposals to sponsors.
• Set up and monitor consulting contracts and JPL service agreements.
• Provide guidance in grants administration to IPAC staff.
• Prepare monthly variance reports and monitor award expenditures.
