Caltech's IPAC division seeks a full-time Grant Manager to join the Finance team in Pasadena. You will oversee pre-award and post-award activities, including proposal development, budget creation, and award administration for NASA, JPL, NSF and other sponsors.

The role emphasizes problem-solving, initiative, and collaboration with scientists, engineers, and staff. The candidate will maintain relationships with campus offices, monitor expenditures, manage cost transfers, and ensure compliance

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 3+ years of grant management experience.
• Ability to work on-site in Pasadena, California.
• Proficiency in Excel.

Aufgaben

• Pre-Award: manage grants, subawards, contracts and service agreements; develop proposals and budgets.
• Post-Award: prepare variance reports, monitor expenditures, and handle no-cost extensions.
• Award Close-Out: coordinate with funding agencies and OSR on closures; verify effort commitments.
• Other Duties: budgeting housekeeping, labor scheduling, procurement, travel approvals.
