Job summary

The Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium is seeking a Funding Support Specialist to assist DEHE Program Services with funding acquisitions from preapproval to closeout under general supervision. This role researches and coordinates grant applications, drafts and edits proposals, supports budgeting and reporting, and ensures compliance with funder terms and 2 CFRs while coordinating with internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent professional experience in health/public health/related field.
• Progressively responsible professional work-related experience, education, or training may be substituted for college education.
• Knowledge of grant application and administration processes is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Research, plan, coordinate, develop, write, edit, and compile complete proposals for submission to private, state, and federal funders.
• Provide guidance and assistance to DEHE program staff and serve as a subject matter expert to mentor, train, and support administrative and project management activities to meet funder requirements.
• Coordinate application processing and submission to ensure all required information is included; assist with budget preparation and contract documentation.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in health, public health, public administration, social science, technical communications or related field
